Alcohol Rehab Programs: Alcohol Detox

Alcohol detox may or may not be the first part of your alcohol rehab program; it will depend upon your level of physical addiction to the drug. If your physical dependence upon alcohol is severe after years of alcohol abuse and addiction, then you may require medical monitoring. Your doctors and counselors will work together to make your experience as comfortable as possible and keep you safe until your body readjusts to functioning without alcohol in your system.

If your addiction to alcohol is less severe, your time spent focused solely on the physical nature of alcohol detox will be minimal. In some cases, it may not even be necessary.

Alcohol Rehab Programs: Alcohol Addiction Treatment

Alcohol addiction treatment and therapies that focus on your emotional and psychological dependence upon alcohol will begin to be incorporated into your alcohol rehab program at the end of detox. As you are physically able, you will add group therapy sessions, one-on-one therapy sessions, and alternative and traditional therapeutic treatments to your schedule. These will vary based upon your interests, the specifics of your addiction, and the recommendations of your doctors and therapists. Throughout your alcohol rehab program, you can try new therapies, drop old ones or continue the ones that are working best for you as reach and reset your treatment goals.

Alcohol Rehab Programs: Aftercare Services

After you have completed your alcohol rehab program successfully, you will not be left to sink or swim on your own. On the contrary, you have your choice in aftercare services: offsite therapeutic contact and support or onsite sober living facilities. Offsite services allow you to return home and reconnect with friends and family and offer you continued support as you go back to work and reintegrate into the community. Onsite sober living services allow you to continue living with us but with a much less structured daily schedule. You may choose to begin working again or get involved with the local recovery community on a limited basis until you feel ready to begin again on your own.
