Outpatient Alcohol Rehab
The initial phase of outpatient alcohol rehab is purely physical. Until your body has flushed out the alcohol and residual toxins, you won't be able to focus on the spiritual, emotional and psychological aspects of alcohol addiction treatment. At The Canyon, we can help you through your alcohol detox and then ease you into alcohol addiction treatment as you feel up to it. In our outpatient alcohol rehab program, you can return home to the comfort of your family and your own bed at the end of each day and return to us refreshed the next day.
What To Expect During Outpatient Alcohol Rehab
Breaking your addiction to alcohol through an inpatient recovery facility or an outpatient treatment program is equally difficult. Though there is more structure to an inpatient treatment, there is more freedom to immediately begin implementing your alcohol-free lifestyle in your day-to-day life with the support of family and friends. You won't have someone physically available to take the alcohol out of your hands but you will be able to continue with work and school, take care of your children or elderly relatives and maintain the anonymity that an outpatient treatment can provide.
At The Canyon, we will be available to you 24 hours a day should you need support when you are not with us. During the day, we provide personalized treatment based upon your individual needs with therapy options that range from traditional support groups to nontraditional therapies like equine-assisted therapy and art therapy and psychodrama. During your intake, your needs will be assessed by our Master's level clinical team and a treatment plan will be created for you. Throughout your treatment, your treatment plan will be evaluated regularly and adjusted as needed.
Dealing With Withdrawal Symptoms During Outpatient Alcohol Rehab
Almost all alcoholics who have been chronic, heavy drinkers will experience some level of withdrawal symptoms when they suddenly stop drinking. This should wind down after about a week. If you come to us before you have completely overcome these symptoms, we will help you to detox with medical assistance as needed. As you heal, you will begin to integrate into the treatments that are most appropriate for your particular circumstance. Everything is done slowly and safely with medical supervision so that you can heal at your own pace, knowing that you will never be pushed beyond your limits or held back if your progression is particularly swift.
