Though there are still expectations placed upon those who choose a California sober living program-to maintain sobriety, to avoid bringing in drugs or alcohol or inviting over people under the influence, to attend certain mandatory meetings and contribute to the recovery community-they usually get more leeway with how they spend their days, rather than going from therapy session to therapy session nonstop. You may be able to get a job, attend recovery meetings offsite, go out to doctor's appointments or meet up with your family if they live nearby. The specifics will be determined by you and your therapeutic team when you enroll.
