Instead, these establishments choose to focus on alternative treatments, more of a mind over matter approach. If you are not comfortable with this idea or would prefer to keep your options open, then you may choose a California drug detox center that at least offers medication should you need it.

Whether or not they offer medication to treat withdrawal symptoms during drug detox, some California drug detox centers are highly specialized and offer only physical detox supervision. This means that they provide little to no therapy or drug addiction treatment that you would find at a full service drug rehab. Once you have passed through the hard part of drug detox and are physically well enough to go home, you will be discharged.
