Outpatient Drug Rehab Centers: The Basics

Outpatient drug treatment is often the preferred treatment for those who are not yet ready to immerse themselves in their treatment. It is a scary prospect to make a 180 degree turnaround in life and outpatient treatment allows you to do just that while still enjoying the comfort of home and the safety of your own bed. The Canyon understands the possibility of apprehension and takes care to address them during your initial intake and evaluation. Our outpatient program provides you with access to a variety of therapeutic options that are traditional and nontraditional so that you can find a balance in your treatment and determine what works best for you.

What To Expect at Outpatient Drug Rehab Centers

When you first arrive at The Canyon, you will undergo an intake session in which you will meet with an internist, addictionologist and a psychiatrist. Your mental and physical needs will be assessed and from there, your clinical team will be able to devise a treatment plan that is personalized to suit your individual circumstance. This treatment plan is reviewed weekly during your stay and revised as needed to make sure that you are taking part in the therapies that will most benefit you.

Our goal for your outpatient drug treatment program at The Canyon it total abstinence from drugs and alcohol. When you leave us each day and return home, it is expected that you will not use any chemical or mind-altering substances. In return, you can expect personal attention and a variety of therapeutic modalities at your disposal for an in-depth, spiritual, mental and psychological treatment program. You can also expect a one-on-one psychology session each week and many single-gender and mixed-gender support groups.

For our inpatient and outpatient guests alike, our clinical team will provide a structured therapeutic treatment plan with a focus on reconnecting with your authentic self, your true hopes and aspirations, and building a strong foundation in sobriety. When you return home each night, we are available to you for support should you need it.
