Inpatient Versus Outpatient OxyContin Rehab

If you are addicted to OxyContin, the first choice you will need to make is whether to enroll in inpatient OxyContin rehab or outpatient OxyContin rehab. Both have advantages and disadvantages, and the one you choose should be based on your particular circumstances, including how long you have been addicted to OxyContin, your current dosage, and the number of times you have attempted to "get clean" in the past.

At The Canyon, we offer both inpatient and outpatient OxyContin rehab for your convenience. If you have questions about which type of OxyContin addiction treatment is more appropriate for you, contact us at The Canyon today.

Inpatient OxyContin Rehab

Inpatient OxyContin rehab is characterized by your residential status during treatment. You will stay overnight for a period of at least 30 days as you undergo OxyContin detox and addiction treatment. Medical monitoring, medication, therapeutic services, and other amenities including yoga classes, acupuncture, and organic cuisine are included in your treatment program. You will also reside in a gender-specific home here on our estate in the Santa Monica Mountains, each one with private meditation areas, a swimming pool and Jacuzzi. Support staff will be available to you around-the-clock as you go through OxyContin detox and OxyContin addiction treatment.

Outpatient OxyContin Rehab

An outpatient OxyContin rehab is different from an inpatient version because it allows you to go home every day. Rather than immersing yourself in OxyContin recovery, you instead come to your OxyContin addiction treatment center on a certain schedule to take part in the same therapies and support groups that you would be involved in during an inpatient OxyContin treatment program. The cost is somewhat less expensive, but you also don't have access to the same 24-hour support system. Also, if you fear that you will be unable to resist the temptation to use drugs and/or alcohol when you are away from the treatment center, then an outpatient OxyContin rehab won't be as successful as its inpatient counterpart.

However, if you have responsibilities to dependent children or elderly family members at home or have a career to maintain and feel that you will be able to stay clean and sober, then an outpatient OxyContin rehab may be just what you are looking for.

Inpatient or Outpatient OxyContin Rehab: A Personal Choice

Studies show that the longer you are actively involved in your OxyContin rehab, the more likely you will be to successfully break free from OxyContin addiction and have fewer and less traumatic instances of relapse. In general, if you can, an inpatient OxyContin detox and addiction treatment is the most efficient and safest option. However, if you simply can't get away from work or you are the only available caregiver to your children, then outpatient OxyContin rehab can work just as well. Ultimately, you will get out of your treatment what you put into it. If you are ready to break free from OxyContin addiction, both an inpatient and outpatient OxyContin rehab can help you do so.
