Dr. Lewis, founder and Director for the highly successful NBA, NHL and MLS drug treatment programs, Dr. David Lewis is a nationally respected medical professional and public figure, dedicated to the prevention and treatment of substance abuse. As a Presidential appointee and a member of the White House Conference on a Drug-Free America, he has made recommendations to the White House and Congress for anti-drug legislation. He is Co-Founder and Board Member for the Make A Difference Foundation, representing the joint efforts of musicians, athletes and entertainers to educate adolescents on the hazards of drugs.
Dr. Lewis has served as a consultant to corporate clients including: General motors, ITT, Seven-Up, PACTEL, LAPD, Disney, and the Los Angeles Unified School District. He also works as an expert with entertainment media in informing the public about substance abuse. He was technical advisor for the full-length movie, Clean and Sober, and for the anti-drug prime-time special, All Stars to the Rescue, sponsored and aired by NBC, ABC and CBS simultaneously. Dr. Lewis has appeared nationally on a myriad of television programs including Nightline, NBC Nightly News, and Oprah Winfrey. He is a published author in the fields of Medicine, Psychiatry, Substance Abuse and Sports Medicine as well as the recipient of numerous community service awards.
