Vicodin Treatment Programs

A Vicodin addiction treatment has but one goal: to treat your physical and psychological addiction to Vicodin. In an effort to make this treatment last, a secondary goal is to help you learn how to stay clean once we help you with the initial detox process. To that end, most Vicodin treatment programs are comprised of three phases: Vicodin detox, Vicodin addiction treatment and aftercare or sober living.

Vicodin Treatment Program Phase One: Vicodin Detox

The first phase of your Vicodin addiction treatment program will focus on the physical aspect of addiction. A Vicodin detox will take up the first few days to a week of your treatment depending upon the type of detox you undergo. With a maintenance therapy where you replace Vicodin with another medication meant to mimic its action in the body, you will experience a minimum of Vicodin withdrawal symptoms and will more quickly advance to the second phase of treatment. With a cold turkey detox, you will likely be prescribed medications to ease each withdrawal symptom as it occurs. Your Vicodin detox may last a little longer but you will be completely drug free at its close.

Vicodin Treatment Program Phase Two: Vicodin Addiction Treatment

Vicodin addiction treatment will begin slowly as you come to the end of the intense part of your Vicodin detox. The focus during this phase is your psychological addiction to Vicodin. One by one, you will choose therapies to fill your day, options like art therapy or yoga and bodywork or adventure therapy, any number of choices depending on what is available at your Vicodin addiction treatment program. You will also augment these therapies with one on one therapy sessions, group meetings, educational classes, family therapy and more. Integrated into your schedule will be relapse prevention techniques, or skills that you can make use of after you return home that will help you to stay abstinent and make positive choices without drugs and alcohol.

Vicodin Treatment Program Phase Three: Aftercare or Sober Living

As your treatment comes to a close, you will get to choose where you will undergo your next stage of treatment. If you choose aftercare, you will return home and check in with your Vicodin treatment program periodically, either by phone or in person depending on where you live in proximity to your rehab facility. If you choose sober living, you will either stay on at your Vicodin rehab or move to a private sober living home where you will live within a structured environment that requires you to stay clean and sober. Depending upon your level of comfort, you can choose between more or less support as you transition back home.
